Please help me put together our living room!
Comments (67)I've been playing with the SW color visualizer tool and came up with a ton of different schemes, but this one is pointing me toward an overall house palette that I really like. It's very "beigey", it isn't at all trendy, but it's very warm, looks a lot like the clothes in my closet - jeans and earthy tops :) - and just might work. If I want to spice it up, I think I can add or swap a gray such as amazing gray or intellectual gray into the mix to bring it into the 21st century. (There's a good amount of gray in the fabric already.) I know that the colors that the app generates aren't exact, but it's a good road map. Comments (15)Thanks so much for reply. So this is my favorite abstract that formerly was in my old living room but this has a lot of pinks and pastels in it and it doesn't really go with all the brown in this shade of red I think. I also think that in my efforts to slowly get stuff to go with the red (global style pillows)- I may have gone too far with the other decor to make it work (even if it didn't clash with the brick red). The painting lives in my bedroom now usually- so it has a home at least but it for sure is more my aesthetic for a living room. Someting abour those three tapestries togegee just doesn't feel Right to me...or not finished at least. Any other ideas?...See MoreCan someone help me tone down too formal living room with poor layout?

I had hoped to do something different but turns out, Julie Julie, you were right. Thank you glischler for kind support. I think the Art is beautiful just not sure about the wall area. Oh well. Alice was correct innasking about sight lines with nook. Turns out the cabinet that houses oven juts out a lot. You guys are so nice to follow this tiny project. i have actually surprised myself that I DID something. Pretty soon, I will be in liasche’s boat with no wall space. oh oh, dsimber Dsimber, sorry sorry, I just hadnt heard from you. Now I see there is a message. ❤️...See MorePlease help me optimize my living room!
Comments (104)The ONLY way I would buy a 300.00 chair, would be in a teen dorm, to toss the old teddy bear , or the clothes that the kid refused to hang. Why? Because I don't fill the landfill - nor do I waste a clients money. ( Note: there is no free in life, and there is NO free shipping. It's IN the chair pricing in all of this stuff ) On what planet do trucks not need fuel, does a worker not get paid to pack and wrap?! What dock worker is hauling this container of junk off a ship for FREE? ) I understand resources, and the urge to finish a space. But you are being unrealistic about price points that would get some longevity and quality. Unless you are buying this to throw out, or to NEVER sit down. West Elm........ 799.00 ...and yes 6 weeks and their shipping. There are others, and other colors Even Better Quality? Room and Board... A sampling of choices... You don't want me to tell you that a decent chair starts at a grand or close. I would wait, save up. Room and Board ships for 75.00 dollars. Ask yourself how soon you'd like to be replacing an Amazon or Wayfair chair....See MoreRebecca Mitchell Interiors
