Has anyone bought a couch from Maidenhome?
Comments (33)I am just so obsessed with this look and all the products in it. Would love to know if anyone here has comments on any of the pieces in the photo - most of of what I've read is very positive in terms of the quality but new to the brand and would love any specific feedback on these pieces/fabrics before taking the plunge. My good friend owns a large Jones sectional in Oyster Linen and its very comfortable gorgeous but thats my only in person exposure to the brand. They have a pop up show house in NYC/TriBeCa in August which I'm hoping to attend but kind of don't wait till then to place my order and besides not even sure what products will be on display there! Any thoughts on Perry Chairs in Nubuck, Muir Sectional Sofa, Morro Large Table and Mott Stool in Shearling. TIA!...See MoreQuality Furniture - Sixpenny, Maiden Home??
Comments (2)we have the sullivan and some other pieces from maiden home and are very happy with them. 8 way hand tied springs, reviews, made in north carolina and the fabrics were what stood out for us. the quality of construction and durability is great - it really looks and feels like a luxury piece of furniture 2 years later. sixpenny we looked at and passed on - i think its nice enough but just not in the same league from a quality/luxury standpoint (made in china, the fabrics just dont have the same hand etc)...See MoreMaiden Home Warren - how does it sit compared to...?
Comments (6)A lot of low vs high back depends on how you plan to use the sofa. I currently have a low backed sofa but we have a high mounted TV. i am 5’7” and my husband is 5’10”. we both have to put throw pillows behind our heads (that rest against the wall behid the sofa) when we watch TV. if we didn’t have the sofa right up against the wall we wouldn’t even be able to do that. but we also have a club chair with a high back cushion which is perfect for Tv watching without a throw pillow. The chair has a seat hight of 18” and with the back cushion, the overall hight is 35” (or so, sometimes measures 36”). if you want a sofa for a living room where the main use will be socializing and conversation and not a lot of heavy ”lounging” (unless you are lying down), or will have it right up against a window, then a low back is fine (and preferable with the window)....See Moremaiden home Crosby or medley mota sofa ? HELP!
Comments (10)I am deciding between these exact two sofas! its been a struggle - I’ve been indecisive for maybe 9 months now. I love the look of both of them! I was so close to purchasing a mota with chaise lounge, but I couldn’t decide on fabric. Then something switched I guess, and now I’m leaning towards the crosby with a custom ottoman. but i can’t decide on fabric or ottoman size. It seems a beautiful sofa - looks to me to be classic (eg won’t go out of style) and cozy without feeling to ”hefty”. I’m getting so confused about fabric though. We have dark, antique wood in our house, so I’d like a lighter color, but I still worry about the durability of performance fabrics holding up against our three boys, dogs, and cats.....See MoreMatthew
