1 large chandelier or 2 medium?
I have an industrial/modern type reception room I need to get lighting for. The room is 14 ft high, approx 17x20 , with exposed ceiling in off black. According to the size of the room, my chandelier shd be (L+W in ft converted to inches) 38" but does this account for the high ceilings ?
Hall (also exposed ceiling) has clear globe pendants w black downrods. The front door is glass and the hallway is an important line of sight straight back. That is why i was thinking of doing two chandeliers in the areas of the front room "flanking" the hallway.
So do I put up TWO 20" chandeliers ....or look for one giant 38-40" one (expensive!)

I doubt if I would either because I wouldn't bake just one, but it might be worth a try. It sure would be a handy dough to have on hand. Refrigerator Applesauce Wheat Muffins Favorite Recipes --The Muffin Cookbook Mix up this batter and refrigerate in a tightly covered plastic bowl. If you cook for one, you can scoop out batter for one muffin at a time. Bake in the microwave oven for 30 to 50 seconds, or in conventional oven. 3/4 cup All-purpose Flour 1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp Salt 1 cup Quick-cooking Rolled Oats 1/2 cup Packed Brown Sugar 1 tsp Baking Powder 1/2 tsp Baking Soda 3/4 cup Buttermilk 1/4 cup Applesauce 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil 1 egg, beaten 1/4 cup Raisins Directions: In large bowl, combine flours, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. In small bowl, combine buttermilk, applesauce, oil and egg until blended. Stir into flour mixture just until moistened. Fold in raisins. Cover and refrigerate overnight or up to 10 days. Comments (3)Jo- I am not a realtor, but my question would be...do you have a basement? If so, is it finished and can you have more bedrooms down there? My mom had a 3 bedroom, 1 bath, no basement home and we had a hard time selling it...back when the market was great! People with kids, want a family room/play area and were not happy that there was no basement. Older couples didn't like the single hall bathroom. We finally sold it, only because someone had to live in that particular area for work, and there was a limited availability. The rest of the house was nice, large living room with working fireplace, nice kitchen, dining area, large laundry/mud room and a huge garage. The small bath was our biggest obstacle. If you don't have a big basement, chances are that 3 bedrooms 1 bathroom is NOT going to appeal much to a growing family. An older couple or couple with no children, will like the guest room/office possibilities of the second bedroom...and really like the second bath. As mn-houses suggests, research what's popular in your area. However, I would think about updating your home and making it 2 bedroom 2 bath, if that's what YOU want and you think it will sell well (if/when the market ever bounces back). 12 days agoOh something that really makes a bold statement while allowing a soft elegant glamours hallway. You may need to test a few out so you can see the shadows they create on the walls.

He says they're supposed to mount to the walls/the ones he's using are a triangle shape...or be installed in ceiling grid/like the one shown...but he has them FREE hanging under the round heat ducts.
