It was my sense of size (things may appear larger than they are) that had me thinking the leaf-with-eyes was the mack daddy frog. :D It's great to hear they love crickets, since I moved some pots the other day, and found a multitude of them, large and small. Your best bet would be to purchase a corded handvac with revolving brushroll like the Dirt Devil Ultra Handvac M08230X. It is a proven design, that has been around since the 80's in the plastic form. Royal made it in the metal form even older than the plastic design. With the corded models, you can clean the stairs or furniture with no time limit. It uses a shake-out bag or you can use a paper bag. Dirt Devil also has a few other models that use pleated filter. With these, you will have to make sure that you clean the filter very well after each use. Check out the Dirt Devil Classic Handvac M0100 or the Dirt Devil Power Reach M08245X. With the Eureka mentioned earlier, you will also have a filter that you muct keep clean after each use. The Dyson's filter will do well, but you will have a very short time to clean before recharging, plus the cost of the Dyson is high. You did not mention what brand and model of upright vacuum you have, but you can purchase a mini turbo attachment. Manufacturers describe things differently at times, but look for a "4-port diverter valve". One port will be water in, the other three ports will outflow to the tub spout, the fixed, head, and the handheld. Some valves are all in one. They have the water volume ON/OFF, temp selector, and diverter all in one valve. Some manufacturers market them individually. You'll buy a supply valve that will give you ON/OFF and temperature selection, and the outflow from that supply valve will feed the IN port on the previously mentioned 4-port diverter. Do understand that when you shop, you'll be shopping for valve bodies AND valve trim kits. The valve body is a cast piece of brass that gets buried in the wall. The trim kit is the pretty (chrome, nickel, ORB, etc) piece that covers the hole in the wall and hides the valve body. In general, you buy them separately, but you need to make sure that the trim kit is compatible with the valve body. So, for the most part, you can either get: 1) the all-in-one valve body and then get a trim kit for that all-in-one valve OR 2) you can get the water supply (on/off/temp) valve body and a trim kit for that valve, and a diverter valve body and a trim kit for the diverter valve. Since you have a tub spout that you like, you'll probably want to get the shower valve trim kit(s) in from the same design group as the spout. Find that rim kit, then websites will usually contain links to find the valve body that fits the trim kit(s) you are looking at. Good luck!

According to an electrician friend of mine those really aren't any "sturdier" than the middlin' quality residential switches. (The really cheap 68c ones are a different matter). I've forgotten the details, but he was VERY convincing. They have some advantages in commercial settings that (he says) just don't apply in your house. I know one thing he mentioned was that commercial grade switches are rated for up to 20A (or even 30A). But that's not the case here, that's just a different version of a residential grade switch and its still only rated for 15A. When its just a light or a ceiling fan you're not putting enough of a load through the switch for it to make a difference. When its a whole BANK of lights for a great big office room, you would, of course, want something more heavy duty. Or a refrigeration unit or some other commercial type dealy-bobber that just doesn't apply to your house. Building size air conditioning units. Like that. I have held both in my hands and there is very little difference between them. I would actually say none that I could notice. I might spring for them for a hallway switch or in the living room where the switch might get more of a workout. Well probably not actually. This is a bedroom switch, and a bedroom that is little used to boot. AND there is a fan light in there that actually has its own remote that works the lights AND the fan, so - that switch actually NEVER gets used, it is just on all the time and you use the remote to switch the fan and/or light off and on, and to control the speed. I had the wall switch OFF for the nonce because painting in there (and too lazy/decrepit to remove the light fixture, I just paint around it), then it suddenly stopped being off and switching made no difference, so it needs to be replaced. Anyway, given I'm not looking at a 68c super cheapy I don't feel this is an issue.
