Comments (57)Well, I just wrote a lengthy post with pics to follow up and thank everyone for their feedback, ideas, and pics, and it didn't post! I am guessing it had to do with the photos, so I will try this again with just a photo here and if it works I will post more separately. Comments (5)Here is my wood kitchens idea book with both new and older, refreshed wood kitchens: https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/75202366/list/wood-kitchens You will need to think about whether or not you can add to the bottom of the backsplash to meet the new counter. The backsplash is unique and interesting - but do be wary of mixing too much warm wood with cool grays - they do not bring out the best in each other. Your present countertops are just fine:) It looks like your microwave may be sitting on a wood shelf? Comments (2)Just a first thought - Depending on the fabricators around your area, you may not be able to choose what you want. Many of the fabricators by me do not stock quartz tops, so they won't bring in a whole slab to cut a small countertop. Check with your local yards and see if they will do that or if you will need to shop for remnants. Personally, I like things to look different. Your wall color is different and so is the floor.
