Scale Q: Toilet to vanity height
Comments (21)Glad you're all set Andrea! I would like to see pix if you're doing more than just new toilet. Looks like vanity is done, were you thinking of putting shelf over toilet (picture has someone holding some sort of countertop there?)? Renee - now I'm conflicted again! I really prefer 32" but it's just more work to block up the washstand 3" (and get the legs to look right, proportionally and stain), casters would be easy. And I'm still struggling with scale - in such a small (3' x 6'4") room, the toilet tank at 29.5, what would be best option for washstand? Vessel sink is out, I already have the perfect drop-in sink (bow front matches curve of washstand) and faucet....See Morebathroom makes me feel small
Comments (5)A mirror that extends down to just above the backsplash would take care of that, wouldn't it? You could insert a medicine cabinet in the shallow wall to the right of the mirror. You can reduce the scale of the mirrored wall by having an oval or rectangular mirror on the wall behind the sink, with a wall mounted sconce on each side of the mirror. The side lighting might be more flattering than the above-the-mirror lighting you have now....See MoreBathroom colour choice Nightmare!!
Comments (33)I was surprised when I went to pick paint for the master bathroom and master bedroom. I thought I was going to easily go for a very light blue gray like I have in some other areas of my house. But the lighting just didn’t make those colors look good. So sometimes you have to be flexible and go for a different undertone. In my case it was going more towards the green undertones, like North Texas says. You just need to be flexible and find the undertone that looks best with your lighting....See More"Timeless" bathroom for Spanish Mediterranean style home
Comments (41)Yes, the wallpaper is a showstopper! But I also love the white cross tiles and the green shower ones! The archway is done so, so well - that is a talented tiler! Enjoy the beautiful results. Bathrooms are hard and you nailed this one!...See Morepetalique
