help! need ideas for rug under couch
Comments (8)I agree with kulrn about not having a rug under the dining table. Or, if you want something there, maybe a faux zebra rug or something else not square. I wouldn’t use it anywhere — in my opinion the colors are too cool and don’t mix, or contrast, well in there. (Pretend your rug isn’t there, just the zebra): _________________________ _________________________ Here are kulrn’s first two rugs; I wasn’t able to do the third. I like these a lot. ____________________________ ____________________________ Some more suggestions to get an idea of what direction (style, color, etc) you want to go. I think with the rest of your decor and room elements, you need to have colors compatible with both warm and cool tones. Same rug turned other way: ____________________ ____________________ Actual close-up of rug above ... it doesn’t mock-up well at all. ____________________________ ____________________________ Adding some color ... ________________________ ________________________ I like this one, too, but it doesn't have a mock-up option:...See MoreHelp! Comments (1)My sister had a very generic back yard/patio. A few years after moving in they decided to re-do the entire back area. She had 3 landscape firms draw up plans, explaining that she wanted each to provide their best ideas and bid on the project. She picked the one that best fit her needs, but did end up incorporating some ideas from all 3....See MoreHelp! Need ideas on updating 16 year old tract home exterior!
Comments (5)The house is great just as it is. As others have said, what it needs is a good landscape plan. Add a curved planting area from the corner of the walkway to the end of the house. And plant a specimen tree further out into the yard. You'll be adding value to your home as well as making it look more interesting and welcoming. Be sure to keep the plants from blocking your low windows....See MoreHELP! Need ideas for tiling angled shower ceiling!
Comments (6)Well now you're freaking me out. I was already having some concerns about the shower pan install and flood test. Wonder what you or anyone thinks about the appearance here. To me the water was clearly well below the marked line (I took pic and then had to leave to drop kids off and when I got back he had arrived and already drained pan) but he insists there was no drop and my eyes are deceiving me. Unfortunately really hard to tell in picture, but I am 100% sure the water was at least a 1/2" below mark and honestly seemed more like an inch although I didn't measure bc was afraid to touch anything. First pic was this morning about 24 hrs after filling second pic was day before, sorry it's not great but I was really taking of the curb that I wanted fully covered but wonder about the actual pan as well...See MoreNorwood Architects
