New: FOTESS May 2012 Swap - Snip and Share
Comments (126)Thanks for sharing the natives list, Heidi. I will be looking through it again and again. Ellie, so glad that package made it to you in time for you to try to root some things. Crazy mail service... I matched people so the package wouldn't have to travel so far and the one that made it to you quickly was from across the country. Makes you wonder, but I am just glad it got there. A few of my cuttings looked dead and got pulled out and tossed, but I am hopeful that many more will make it. Shurbs and things like that take longer to root than the soft stem plants. Our hot weather is upon us now though and the rain had stopped. It was nice when we had it. Now I am dragging my hoses and sprinklers around once again. Our daylilies are just fantastic this year. I really enjoy going out to see which ones are in bloom each day. Comments (179)Amy, again, thanks for the great fun this month. You did a super job. I went from needing 8 words two days ago to needing only two for Bingo. With all the words that have been posted today, someone has to be lucky and have Bingo. It's been pretty warm here this past week but I am not complaining. It is hard for me to garden in the heat so I wait til after dinner and spend a couple hours a night outside completed needed tasks. Got the tomato and cucumber plants in today. I still need to weed and clean out so many gardens but I am keeping myself from getting overwhelmed by doing one project each night. So far, so good. We could use some rain so the weeding could be a little easier. Margo...See More#3 FOTESS SWAP OCTOBER~~"GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN"~~
Comments (136)Shirley - IT's never JUST a GAME! lol. J/K...The world series consists of 7 games. Best out of wins the whole kit and caboodle. Cubs did not have a good showing last night...stinky Indians. OH WELL...here's to the next 4! Annie - I just visited California for the 1st time ever last May and I loved it. I wish I'd had so much more time. It was a whirlwind. I had to go to San Francisco on business but managed to see the ocean, the bay, the GG bridge, Alcatraz, The Giant Redwoods, the Bay Bridge, The Fisherman's Wharf, the Sea Lions on Pier 39, China Town, and Coit Tower all while we were there! I had such a lovely time. Cannot wait to visit again! Now only 4 states left for me to see!...See MoreMAY FOTESS SWAP: IT'S BLUE GRASS MONTH FOR OUR GROUP
Comments (136)jeanne, enjoy your time with your daughters and putting your husbands remains to rest. it will be a nice time for closure and rekindling at the same time. thanks for a great swap, don't worry about the prizes at all. as you can see, the prizes from April are still on their way... jayeanne, don't worry i won't send. i really thought they would be okay. im sure you know morning glories are hard to transplant but hopefully something sprouts for you. heidi, i am so glad you told us about the flower bomb idea. i am a borderline hoarder/collector and i have so so so many seeds i'm almost ready to stop swapping (but won't even dare to think of that! :) i even promised some local newbies i would send the seeds and i never did. i don't know why but i have had a total disconnect with gardening this year. in other news.... my youngest got accepted to a local competitive soccer league so i'm officially in over my head if i decide to accept that. good thing is we will be adding a driver to the family in July so she can help! last but not least, my eldest is graduating H.S. on saturday so both grandfathers are coming into town thursday/friday to get the weekend festivities going! (both grandmothers are recently deceased and will be greatly missed as he is the first grandchild on both sides!) hope everyone has a great weekend. and as i said above, I'm still "thinking" about what prizes to send for the April prizes, my brain is working in slow mode these days....See Moresandlapper_rose
