White counters & backsplash with dark cabs (my colors) boxerpups?
Comments (9)I'm okay with quiet as well, but the misses likes the texture of glass and the colors as well (we inherited Travertine Noche floors, so much more of a yellowish/tan color that we would have selected our selves, which is why I think the accent tiles tiles with the tan glass will fit in and help bring everything together. The tumbled marble tiles are 4x8 and the glass tiles are 1x1, so we are thinking of a runner of either 3 tiles or 2 tiles high around the room (maybe 2 marble tiles up), otherwise we'll figure out some other way to inject the accents. I guess I'm not sure how the runner glass tiles would look around a very neutral setting. I wouldn't want it to stand out too much, but we only have about 12 linear feet or so of backsplash wall space....See MoreHELP - Backsplash ideas for brown blatic counter w/ white cabinets
Comments (25)White subway tile or just paint. None of the stone look tile go with the counter. As a buyer I'd rather have to tile a backsplash than rip out a backsplash and then tile it! Discordant/jarring/glaring backsplashes are one of my biggest turnoffs. I think it's the area where most people make a mistake in their renovations... so many people want to add "interest." Most places need less interest, not more. On the other hand, lighting is crucial. Would far rather someone put in the necessary lighting and just paint the backsplash. But that's me! Your mileage may vary! Good luck :)...See MoreOff white kitchen remodel- ideas for quartz counter top and backsplash

Comments (7)"My questions are: Do you think this is a good combo? ....Is it dated or traditional to do the different tile around the cooktop? I just feel like all glass will be boring and all chevron would be too busy." Hi Sabrina, my answers are: I don't think it's a great combo. Yes it is a little dated - but if you want it, you should do it, just with better tile. Agreed - you have good instincts. Do you have inspiration images for your space? If not start Google-ing images of kitchens that use your counter material with white cabinets. What you'll find is that many of them use the counter material for a bs. You're also not the first person to struggle to find a tile for it, even here on Houzz. You're not even the first to pull that chevron tile. Most people will pair that material with gray - consider going for white. I know your cabinets are white, but it frees you up to choose a really bold shape, or a large format tile, something more modern and more beautiful than gray glass....See MoreHU-320223810
