Looking for information on my Suburban Manufacturing furnace
Comments (8)Hi! All, We are in the same boat. My son's condo in Bay Area has a Suburban DCF30M that is now 35 years old, defunct and we can't get any help from Suburban, we have contacted them several times. These units were designed for RV use. The current unit is installed between the ceiling joists of my son's condo. (Floor joists of the unit above.) The current unit is 13" deep, 13 1/2" wide and 32" long. Does anyone have any information about a natural gas unit that would replace this and fit in the same space? A mini split is not an option as his condo complex doesn't allow anything outside of the condo. I have a DCF-30G & DCF-30GC manual if that would be of help to anyone. Hope to hear from you....See MoreVanity top on backorder looking for an alternative
Comments (0)I ordered a 60 inch vanity from Fairmont Designs in the Charlottesville collection. I ordered the vanity, the sinks and the countertop on April 30. They told me after I ordered it and after I did my plumbing for my bathroom that the countertop was backordered until July 31. It is a Siberian White quartz countertop by ColorQuartz. Fairmont Designs said that the item was popular and that it is backordered. If we knew before we ordered we wouldn't have purchased it. We bought the vanity because we liked the siberian white quartz countertop. I am son disappointed with Fairmont Designs. Don't order from them. They make the counter overseas. China of course. If you are going to sell something then you ought to know what your demand is and not screw people up who are doing remodels of their bathroom. Now I am running around trying to find someone who sells siberian white quartz. When I find somebody, they tell me that they can't do the job before my vanity to not enough square footage to get a slab. Does anyone know where I can get siberian white quartz for a 60 inch by 24 inch vanity? I am located in Brooklyn, NY....See MoreNeed 55" Double Vanity in Design of Restoration Hardware Hudson Vanity
Comments (15)Hi Patty, thanks for your comment! After much research, I think I’m going to buy a wooden vanity with a stone top. I found a picture of the floor tile in a bathroom with a wood vanity and I like it, so now I’m going to try to source something similar. Posting a pic of the bathroom and of a vanity I found that I may buy but worried the walnut (and possible design) won’t look right against the tile. Would love your thoughts as well as anyone else’s! Thanks!...See MoreHow to get this look for vanity (cost estimate, etc.)?
Comments (26)In one of the other posts where you asked the same question, you indicated that you were getting rid of the door to the outside. That's a good idea, unless there's some reason you wanted people entering your house through a bathroom. "Wondering if there are any builders or designers out there who might give a guess as to what this entails." I don't understand why you are not directing these questions to the GC and the architect. There are too many cooks in this kitchen, and this kind of dilemma/ mangled design is the result. You want something very specialized (dare I say idiosyncratic,) and you're not going to find it at Lowes or Ikea. If you don't like your architect, find a designer who can work with you locally. Or you can keep asking the same question over and over, and a bunch of random people will throw a bunch of random ideas out at you. There's such a thing as too much information. Ideally, owner, designer, and builder work together so that these types of things don't come up when you're staring at stud walls. Dozens of people have given you good ideas here. Hire someone local to turn the best ones into reality, or your'e going to be staring a stud walls (or a terrible design) for a long, long time....See Morecyn427 (z. 7, N. VA)
