Mobile Homes For Sale By Owner
Comments (1)No. The site has only been in existance for less than a month, has only four listings across the US and some of the links on the map don't work. Better to put an ad in the local free shopper paper. Wayne...See MoreIntial estimate from Brookhaven...interesting sales approach
Comments (11)I have a very tight budget & I really needed to be as close as possible, or this kitchen was just not going to happen. I met with 5 different GCs who all came in over, but pretty close, so I knew it could be done (assuming there was nothing bad behind my walls/floors - wh/ thankfully there wasn't). I had an appointment with #6 which was both a KD & GC type outfit. The guy came in, took my measurements, listened to what I wanted & said "well, I've got to be honest, there is no way I can do this kitchen for that price - but why don't you let me come up with a design & then we can meet again in a week at my showroom so you can see different finishes, etc." I felt pressured & I made the appointment. I hate that! The day before the appointment, I called him to cancel. I told him we really were just wasting each other's time since he wasn't able to come close to my number. The guy agreed - he was very nice about it - told me if things change, to give him a call. A few hours later, I come home to a message on my machine from him ... "I was speaking with my partner & I may have been too hasty on my initial consultation & can we come back out to re-evaluate?" Long story short - they gave me EVERYTHING I wanted for under my budget - guess some business is better than no business. I really appreciated their willingness to work with me & all the background stuff checked out, so I hired them. They are almost done - just waiting on granite & backsplash & I am so thrilled. Their products & workmanship has been A+. In this economy, it is possible to find quality work for less money. I'm glad I didn't write them off b/c of a shaky first meeting. Good Luck!...See MoreRemoving SaleByOwner sign boards.
Comments (31)Sorry, but you guys are way too soft. This is why bad people get away with things. Because nobody is willing to take a stand and stop them. There is no way I believe this guy took the signs down because he was concerned about traffic safety or because they were posted illegally. His intent was purely malicious. You have the ability to hold him accountable, but now it seems like you are not going to do anything about it. So if you're not going to do anything about it, why go through the trouble of video-taping it, or why complain about it here? Vowing to never give him business is great, but do you think he really cares? You are only one home owner among tens of thousands (or however big your community is). The average person only buys or sells maybe 3 or 4 houses over their whole life time. Is losing your business really going to affect him? Do you think that is going to prevent him from doing this to others? I see official realtor "for sale" signs and signs for new housing subdivisions placed at street corners all the time. I am certain none of them do the research to see who legally owns that land or to ask permission. A private person placing a FSBO sign is no different. It is a sign of temporary nature, and most people do not mind these signs as long as they are posted responsibly and as long as they don't stay there forever. As for what badgergrrl just said about it being kind of hard to punish someone for taking an illegally placed sign.........well it sort of makes sense, but then again no it doesnt. Selling drugs is illegal isn't it? With this kind of logic, doesn't it mean if you buy drugs, you can get off the hook because it wasn't supposed to be legal to sell in the first place? Know what I mean? Hey guys I am really sorry if I sound way too mean or hard-nosed or whatever. I just don't appreciate all the scummy people out there who are always taking advantage of others. When I am able to do anything about it so that I can make the world a better place, you can guarantee I will. It not only irritates me the huge number of scummy people that seem to exist, it may irritate me even more the number of people who just allow things to continue happening....See MoreNeed a quick sale - how you tried this approach yet?
Comments (7)Phoggie - we buried ours last night. We live on a main road with lots of traffic and our entire family is standing outside at dinnertime with a huge shovel and a prayer digging a hole next to the for sale sign in the front yard. We said the prayer and my husband put St. Joseph in right side up facing our home. (He didn't believe in putting him in upside down.) We have been saying the prayer at each meal and I starting reading the bible last night (have a lot of catching up to do). So I am trying to bring our Faith out more to make this work. I also followed another Sellers suggestion about the price you want on the floor (did that in a closet with pencil). So we'll see. I'll def post if we get an offer....See Morechispa
