Hancock & Moore Austin sofa and high back sofa
Comments (3)Yes, there is a very definite seating difference between the standard Austin and the High Back models. The High Back is larger in all dimensions, not only height, and anyone over 5'10" generally prefers the High Back. However the sofa is large so make sure you have clearances to get it in your home. Price depends on the hide selected. Both are available in the Town and Country promotional grouping in Cavalier Oxblood, Cavalier Dark Blue, and Document Chestnut. Those are your best prices. Typically around $ 2,300 for the standard and another $ 300 for the tall back model in those hides. Price will go up if you select in the main handle. The Austin series is far and away the top-selling Hancock and Moore piece. Duane Collie...See MoreHancock & Moore leather 'City Sofa' -- I have questions
Comments (44)I need help - I recently purchased 2 HM recliners - it's only been a few months but so far I really like them, though we have had an issue already with the cushions. The cushions we got were not the same ones that the chairs had in the store. But they are replacing them. After months of contemplating purchasing the Journey sofa & bringing home leather samples, all Class 2 (document and cavalier) we finally made the purchase this past Fri. night - bought the Journey Sofa in Cavalier Hunter Green - so excited-put the required 25% down and was told it would be 4 mos till it would be delivered. I was willing to wait that long because this is the sofa and color we really want. Unfortunately, today I got a call from the store and they said the leather I picked can only go on the City Sofa. I can only chose from Document she told me-otherwise if I want the Cavalier it will cost me $$$$$$ - I can't believe I find out after 2 mos of shopping at this store. I feel like it's bait and switch. Does anyone know where I can get the Journey Sofa with the Cavalier Hunter Green without paying out the wazoo!!! This shouldn't be so confusing and misleading. Now i need to stop the transaction and start the whole process over. Up until reading this no one at the store I've been working with ever mentioned this "married" issue of the leater and the sofa's. I'm so disappointed...See MoreHancock & Moore city sofa
Comments (2)Furniture forum is a great site. We had a similar experience to yours. My wife fell in love with our son's power recliner, power sofa, power love seat, and wanted one. So I said okay. After many tryouts, we realized that they are only comfortable when you reclined. Not good for straight seating. We constantly get on and off to take our dog out, the fridge, etc. We wound up with a traditional sofa and ottoman, and chair from Stickley. If I knew about the City Sofa, I probably would have gone that way. I made a good choice, but the City is a winner. Duane Collie often recommends that sofa....See MoreHancock and Moore Reed sofa
Comments (4)I also recently had the opportunity to purchase a used Hancock and Moore leather sofa. You can read the thread to see what others thought about the deal. As I understand Hancock and Moore leather sofas are some of the best out there. After calling around locally to get a better understanding of retail pricing, I snapped up the sofa. It is incredibly comfortable and the leather is very soft. I'm extremely pleased that we jumped on the deal when we did and I love the sofa. Assuming you've looked at the Reed sofa and concluded that it is in good shape and the style for you, I'd say $850 is a great price....See Morelivingmydreamtoday
