Bathroom Scales
Comments (29)I got my scale at Bed, Bath and Beyond -- I found that the digital scale quickly got wildly inaccurate -- in my favor, but that's not what I wanted. So I tossed it and am happy with my old fashioned analog scale. Both scales were less than $40. I'm not really convinced that a human scale is very accurate for the nuances of cat weight. I've done the same -- picked up the cat, weighed both of us, then myself alone, subtracted the difference. Oddly erratic differences when you get down to the partial pounds, and for a potentially 8-11 pound animal, this matters....See Morebathroom makes me feel small
Comments (5)A mirror that extends down to just above the backsplash would take care of that, wouldn't it? You could insert a medicine cabinet in the shallow wall to the right of the mirror. You can reduce the scale of the mirrored wall by having an oval or rectangular mirror on the wall behind the sink, with a wall mounted sconce on each side of the mirror. The side lighting might be more flattering than the above-the-mirror lighting you have now....See MoreTile layout in awkward bathroom...
Comments (15)Jean - I think your husband is right. Much harder to clean the tub too if you didn't have that extra space. But from a decor standpoint I understand the issue. Maybe you could put a cabinet above it to store things that goes across to the tub area and then shelves to hold towels and stuff going down on one side to fill the space. Kind of like this, but only on one side....See MoreLooking for a good app for preliminary kitchen and bathroom layouts.
Comments (10)Post your graph paper here. Using that is what engages the brain. Its why scale drawing with sn architect’s scale is still taught and used. Before introducing software. And then use Paint to cut and paste on your scanned graph paper, after you get a sense of the space. That’s the zero cost solution. Then download a trial version of 2020, if you want to move to the industry standard. I guarantee you you won’t be able to learn enough to do anything with it in the free month though....See Morepetalique
