Blooms from Monday/Tuesday
Comments (20)Julia, Truly angelic will be moved this fall. It is in almost total shade from my monster New Dawn rose now, and still put up five scapes I have to scoot undr the rose to get pictures. Brittie, I am glad you like them, they are favorites of mine and both have huge blooms. Patann, I am glad. Thanks Val. It is three now and coming into its own. the shooters intros do really well here. I want to get A Friend to all. Rita posts it and it is a beauty. Jean, I don't know what your problem could be. I haven't done anything for El Desperado, it is just its year. Next year it may do little or a lot, you never know. kay...See MorePics from Monday and Tuesday
Comments (10)Mount Herman Morning Beauty was new last year. This year it has 3 fans and all have scapes. The bud count is 12, but I know budcount often goes up considerably--certainly not always so only time will tell. No, Black Fathom Depths is not that blue. My camera wants to make things look bluer than they are. (It drove me crazy when I was taking pics of Siberian Iris). The eye though has a really iridescent look to it. The performance is amazing. I got it last May. This year it has 6 fans and 6 scapes. The bud count is in the 30s! Leslie Renee is doing very well. It has increased to 3 fans and looks like it's about ready to be 4. The fans all have scapes and the bud count seems to be about 16 or 17. It is taller than registered here. Lavender Heartthrob and Joan Derifield are both doing well here. I'm especially impressed with the scape on Joan. Lavender Heartthrob is way taller than registered. It's registered at 22" and I haven't measure, but mine is at least 10" taller than that. I prefer a tall plant with a flower that big, but I wouldn't have planted it in the front. I love Feminist Bookstore. I think it's a beauty. Of course I am a sucker for watermarks and Curt Hanson's things usually do well here. Hope I answered all the questions. OK now I have to get back outside. I haven't taken any pictures today! Comments (14)Good Morning Ladies How is everyone doing?? I am feezing never thought it would get cold here in Cali:) Our summer seemed to last forever, the poor trees went through fall and winter in a weeks time. I am finally all ready as long as my DD's do not call and say oh by the way so and so is coming to dinner too:) My younger DD may have her new BF come, but I can run to the grocery store and get a GC pretty easy they sell so many kinds there. I feel bad if everyone does not have something to open. Not going to tell you all how I am doing on my eating:( Have a fun day, I just finished a book and am starting a new one as soon as I get off here:)...See MoreTotal gut and demo starts Monday...what do you do for water?
Comments (28)We're doing...okay. :) The water heater should get here Thursday or Friday, and DH will get the laundry sink hooked up hot and cold. Once that happens life will get much, much easier. I've also ordered a 2nd portable induction hob which is also on the way. For plumbing, for now, I'm using the garden sprayer on our front porch for quick rinsing (the "don't let stuff dry and get crusty before I actually wash it" rinsing) and for actual dishwashing, we're using the bathtub in the main bathroom on the second floor. Hauling a big plastic tub with all the dishes up and down is...sub-optimal. (I'm snorting). As I sit and type my back is on freakin' FIRE. I wish, wish, wish we could do pizza or subs or whatever...but half our house is basically wheat, corn, and soy free...and I'm on a 3-mth protocol that doesn't allow for a bunch of other stuff that makes it extremely difficult to find anything "legal" that's not from scratch. It sucks under normal conditions. With the demo in full swing, it's making me tear my hair out. I'm hoping hoping hoping that we'll gain efficiencies as we go along and figure more stuff out. For example, I was prepping some ribs today for smoking (had to work from home with a sick kid) and realized I had a box of food prep gloves from a previous life that would be MUCH easier than washing my hands every 5 minutes while working with raw pork. AH HA! So the good news, by the end of this coming weekend, we should be as set up as we can get for the next two months. The bad news is that unless our reno is the extreme outlier that gets done earlier than scheduled (I'm snorting again) we're looking at 7 more weeks MINIMUM until our new kitchen is ready for prime-time. I keep thinking about how amazingly awesome it really will be, and how easy everything will seem with this behind us. It's just about time to pick some slabs and tile...2nd most fun thing ever after appliance shopping. :)...See Morenicholsworth Z6 Indianapolis
