Our Rocket Junipers look awful!
Comments (17)when you replied.. by adding pix.. your post automatically went back to the top.. so you didnt need a new post to tell us ... there is NOTHING YOU CAN DO.. be done with them.. who cares what the issue was do NOT replace with junipers.. they are conifers.. there is a conifer forum.. and you might get many ideas.. or not.. who knows.. about what you can replace them with ... ok i read your note closely ... what happened to them.. they were born as junipers.. you bought overly mature plants for instant gratification.. they did not take the transplant well being large transplant.. and they are host to a number of endemic problems.. what more can i say ... i will yell.. DO NOT USE JUNIPERS ... this is why got rid of near a dozen from my conifer collection .. and i did not bother to find out why ... see you in the conifer forum??? ken ps: based on the shadows.. and the azalea.. the bottom of the plants might be in too much shade ......See MoreLooking for ever-YELLOW prostrate juniper
Comments (0)...and so far come up with a two names, Juniperus horizontalis 'Mother Lode' and Juniperus conferta 'All Gold'. Could you suggest something else, not taller than a 4-6-8"? Also, while it seems like Mother Lode is somewhat readily available (Iseli grown), 'All Gold' is not. Any particular reason for that?...See MoreHow's this Blue Arrow Juniper looking?
Comments (27)Do you by chance recommend a specific landscape program, Ron? I'd be interested in checking one out but they all seem to have "meh" reviews. My last few days have been insane busy but once I have more time again I can see myself doing the Juxtaposer (that's the app's name) thing for many hours, ha. And yes it's on my phone (iPad too, and easier to edit on the bigger screen but I've done so many on the phone that I'm kinda used to it). Before your suggestion of the landscape program got me to thinking about it though, my edits were pretty much just to switch people's heads, or replace them altogether with animal heads ... never fails to make me laugh. When husband saw what I used it for this time he smiled and rolled his eyes and said "oh here we go" : ) That ACS thing is hysterical. I did actually join the real ACS last summer and love the magazines, though I've yet to do anything other than read it. I'd love to visit some of the local-ish members' gardens sometime but so far it hasn't worked out time-wise. Kids are little, makes mama busy, and time is what there's never enough of. They're both starting to love "helping" though and that's awesome. The 4-year-old just puts on his gloves and saves all the worms that get dug up, but I'll take that. Worms are precious after all! Comments (1)Seems like you would want a natural looking landscape. Any ideas of the look you want? Your house is neutral enough you could go many ways. I'm from around GR way and I would go for a quiet woodsy retreat, but that is just me . . ....See Morebengz6westmd
